The Un-Common Theatre Company and Bay Colony Productions are pleased to announce the audition dates for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ", a fun and lively adaptation of the Broadway classic. This is the third collaboration for Bay Colony and Un-Common, following “The Wizard of Oz” and “Peter Pan”.
The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father's favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. When news of Joseph's gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh, Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command. Eventually his brothers, having suffered greatly, unknowingly find themselves groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed but no longer recognize. After testing their integrity, Joseph reveals himself leading to a heartfelt reconciliation of the sons of Israel. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.
Auditions for children grades 2 -12 and adults will be held on Sunday, September 19th from
1-4pm at the Orpheum Theatre BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Callbacks will be at 4:30pm on the same day.

Please prepare 16 bars of music from the show. Please be prepared to learn a brief dance sequence by wearing proper clothing and shoes. Please bring the audition form with a current photo. Click HERE for the audition form.
All roles are available.
Rehearsals are currently scheduled on Sunday afternoons, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Foxboro and Mansfield. Not all cast members will be required to be at all rehearsals. A rehearsal schedule will be made once the show is cast. Extra and later nights may be added as the show nears production week.
The production will take place at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro on December 3rd – 5th and December 10th – 12th. A mandatory preview show will be on Saturday, November 27th with tech week beginning Saturday, November 20th. We will not be rehearsing on Thanksgiving Day.
Production Fee: $175 with a family maximum of $300 per family.
We are also offering an Audition Workshop, taught by “Joseph” director and choreographer Michael Hammond along with musical director Esther Zabinski. This workshop is being held on Tuesday, September 14th from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Click HERE for more information.
